Jane Shepard by Jinxiedoodle Jane Shepard by Jinxiedoodle
Commission -6/7 hours.

I learned to paint with oils, and I wanted to try out something that looked like an old masters' oil painting - smooth, rich, exaggerated, the kind of 'official' portrait that members of the aristocracy might get done. Jane is such a cutie.

She's adorable! Jinxie. This is among the most beautiful femsheps I have seen in a while. If we have your permission can share it on our Facebook page?

Sure! You can use a version without a watermark which is here: [link] just link back to the original on DA and credit me :)

Jinxie you just keep getting better! This is an amazing picture! It looks so real! Now forgive me for asking this... Was this meant to be one or other of the default Shepard's, or your commissioner's slightly modified version of her..? I'm just curious as (don't hate me!) it doesn't look like any of the defaults to me, aside from the red hair and pale skin but please don't take that as criticism because regardless, this looks like a portrait of a real woman and that in itself is one of your most amazing talents.

Thanks! This was done from a few screenshots of a custom Shepard, though because of the hair it looks a little like the default. I'm not a fan of default femShep at all because her face looks flat and weird (especially around the lips), which is why I've never painted her. This is the closest I've got, and I like this one better!

I think I'm inclined to agree. I like the FemShep from the cinematic trailer (the one with slashing husks to itty bitty pieces) and I think I was alright with the original default FemShep from ME1. ME3 one looked like she was about 17 though... :S

Just shared it (with an explanation!) on Mass Effect Female Shepard - [link] Damn you're getting so awesome at these portraits! Out of curiosity, how much does a commission cost..? I'm utterly skint at the moment, but every time I see your work it makes me think I might like to commission one of my Shepards if I can save up the cash - maybe for a B'day or Christmas present. Of course I have nowhere to hang a print so would have to buy *that* maybe a year or so from now, but in this digital age I could still appreciate the result. :D

I know, I don't like it either but my art keeps getting stolen or uploaded elsewhere without my permission or credit, and as these are commissions I don't want that to happen here. People just erase my sig, but they can't really erase the watermark!

I see! But how about adding your own watermark for example on her clothes and only a little part of face?
Anyway, amazing art. I love when art is quite realistic, but doesn't look like a photograph. Especially I like the way you paint skin.
