The right hand is a little off, the thumb position sits a little more naturally between the first and second knuckle when forming a fist. Otherwise this is the most perfect rendition of Shepard I have seen in bloody ages. She LOOKS like she could kick your ass and still have time to go three rounds with Kalros. Renegade or Paragon, this is a fantastic Shepard.
They have completely different faces but tats and similar hair- you're right sftf. How dare two females in the same videogame have anything similar to each other! Don't even get me started on the Asari.
I like that this Shepard actually looks like a real woman and isn't done up ready for a beauty pageant like about 90% of the other femsheps I see. I love your painting process and hope to get there someday soon.
It's not about being a rabid fan, it's about wording your comments better. It could be anything, and if you think the piece is good artwork, regardless of who it may or may not look like, you don't need to be rude in your "liking" of it. There's something called tact, and constructive criticism.
Oh my *fans self* Now THIS kind of lady Shepard is my type! Glad to see I'm not the only one who likes their lady shep's with bit more brawn instead of the pumped up barbie doll type Really lovely work, she looks absolutely stunning!
I think I have crush on your Sheprad, she's awesome! Your art is soo good! Details are amazing - her skin, her hair - everything. If you are going to make a skin tutorial someday, I'd definitely love to see it!
This Shepard, with the hairstyle of your Spectre picture together would seriously look like a sister to my Vali Shepard. Fantastic lighting and detail! Love it! Too bad you say you wouldn't do trades or requests, etc., because I'd love to see Vali in your style.
Thanks! I do run occasional giveaways on my Tumblr (I'm doing one right now in fact...) and I may open up commissions on there afterwards, but I don't want to on DA as I don't really engage much with the community on here. If you want to have a look, I'm queendread and I mostly hang around in the Mass Effect/Bioware fandoms.
Being a writer (and not really liking the way a lot of people act on tumblr anyway), while I have a tumblr I tend to stay away from it mainly because the community just doesn't seem to be for me and it's a bit more photo/picture centric than a medium for what I do. I did, however, find your giveaway post (followed you, liked, and reblogged just to be on the safe side) so at least I have an entry in (and hope your issues with that happen to get worked out). Just so you know who I am, shepardbecreepin is the name I use for tumblr.
But to give you an idea of what I meant by your Shepard looking like she could be related to one of mine, this is a pic a friend did of my Vali Shepard (one of my favorite Sheps who I need to get back to writing about): [link]
Again, though, I'm totally in love with your work. Looking forward to checking out your gallery and seeing more submissions!
Great minds indeed! Now you also see why I'd love to see her in your style as well. Fingers crossed that I maybe get lucky on your giveaway, but since I haven't had an email stating that I got a message on tumblr, I'm thinking my usual luck held and I lost
I have to admit, I also wouldn't mind writing something about yours. I think she'd be a fun one to get into the mindset of.
This Femshep bears an uncanny resemblance to mine, hairstyle aside. Strong chin, severe nose, prominent arch (overall chiselled features) brown eyes, not to mention those sullen lips. Uncanny... and just as badass.
Great painting, powerful piece, love the shading and the depth you created.
